About the Role:
Rincon Paisa Inc. is seeking an experienced, highly organized Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, financial performance, inventory, and staff management at our Hamilton location.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and develop operational budgets to determine food, beverage, labor, and supply costs to boost restaurant profitability.
Balance cash daily, complete financial balance sheets, cash reports, and cost products and services.
Plan, organize, direct, evaluate, and control daily restaurant operations, implementing standard operating procedures.
Recruit, supervise, train, schedule, and conduct performance reviews for restaurant staff (3 to 10 employees across front-of-house and kitchen teams).
Organize and maintain inventory, monitor stock levels, and negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and beverages.
Enforce strict compliance with provincial health and safety regulations, provincial/territorial liquor legislation, and food handling procedures.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, manage client relations, and participate in marketing plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
3 to 5 years of food service management or supervisory experience in a restaurant environment.
Valid Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems, MS Excel, and MS Word.
Knowledge of or experience with Mexican/Latin American cuisine is considered an asset.
Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, working under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, standing for extended periods.
