Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Food Service Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our food service establishment. The successful candidate will lead a team in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
This position is ideal for an individual with previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant, café, or quick-service environment who is passionate about team leadership and operational excellence.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of food service staff.
• Train, mentor, and support new and existing employees to ensure high performance and exceptional customer service.
• Ensure food is prepared, served, and presented according to established quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with FoodSafe, sanitation, health, and workplace safety regulations.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback to promote continuous improvement.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist with staff scheduling, timekeeping, and shift coordination.
• Monitor inventory levels, place supply orders as required, and help minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all food preparation and customer service areas.
• Assist with daily cash handling, sales reconciliation, and operational reporting.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently followed.
• Support management in achieving operational goals and maintaining a positive team environment.
Wage:
• CAD 21.66 per hour, 40 hours per week

Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, café, or fast-food environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising employees in a high-volume food service operation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with staff scheduling, inventory management, and daily sales tracking.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• FoodSafe Level 1 certification is required.
• First Aid & CPR certification is considered an asset.
