Tile Installer Full Time NEW

2016946 Alberta Inc (SS Contracting) is looking for two (2) Tile Installer(s) to join our growing Calgary area team! This is a permanent full-time position, and you must be able to effectively communicate in English.

Job duties:
-Prepare, measure and mark surface for installation
-Mix and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives — apply said adhesives
-Install tiles by setting them into position and apply installation techniques
-Align and straighten tile using levels, squares and straightedges
-Cut and fit tiles for unique fits such as corners and grades
-Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
-Install tile strips as required
-Lay and set mosaic tiles for unique settings
-Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces
-Cut, polish and install marble and granite
-Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles

Education requirements:
-High school or equivalent

Experience requirements:
-Minimum two (2) years of experience in tilesetting/ additional training is provided

Wages and hours: $34.76 per hour for 30 – 40 hours per week
Work location: 5308 Barrett Drive NW, Calgary, Alberta T2L 1W3 (job sites are throughout the Calgary area)
