ABOUT THE ROLE
Asgard Construction Inc. is looking for an experienced Supervisor, Floor Covering to lead our installation crew on active job sites in the Bedford and all HRM, NS area. You will be the go-to person for scheduling, quality, safety, and day-to-day direction of a small, skilled team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
● Supervise and coordinate a team of 3-4 floor covering installers
● Schedule and coordinate daily project activities
● Estimate materials and costs for upcoming jobs
● Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies
● Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
● Prepare production and progress reports
● Ensure health and safety regulations are followed on site
● Lead, instruct, and mentor crew members
● Make recommendations on personnel matters
WHAT YOU BRING
● Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
● 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in floor covering installation or a supervisory construction role
● Comfortable working on site in a construction environment (dusty conditions)
● Own steel-toed safety boots
● Strong communication and leadership skills
WHAT WE OFFER
● $32.00 per hour, 30 hours per week
