We are seeking a hard-working and dedicated Stock Picker to join our team. You will be responsible for receiving, unloading, and verifying incoming merchandise. Your role includes organizing and stocking products in designated warehouse and sales floor locations, and accurately picking and preparing items for replenishment, customer orders, and shipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers at stores or for shipment and delivery to customers.
• Carry customers’ purchases to parking lot and pack in vehicles.
• Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items.
• Use barcode scanning equipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing and maintain computerized stock inventory.
• Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list.
• Attach protective devices to products to protect against shoplifting.
• Stock shelves and display areas and keep stock clean and in order.
• Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom.
• Direct customers to location of articles sought and assist with inquiries.
• Enter and track customer orders using computerized inventory systems.
• May operate carts, dollies, pallet jacks or hand trucks to move merchandise within the store or stockroom.
• May sweep aisles, dust display racks and perform other general cleaning duties.
Employment requirements:
• Some secondary school education.
• Previous experience in retail, warehousing, stocking, or order picking is an asset.
• Experience using barcode scanners, pallet jacks, or stock‑handling equipment is an asset.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work in stockroom and warehouse environments, including ladders and step stools.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and workplace policies.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items.
• Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
• This position requires availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
