About the role
Join the Human Resources Business Systems Team, dedicated to advancing operational excellence to achieve the sector’s strategic priorities. As a Specialist in Business Optimization, you will analyze and streamline critical business processes, reducing complexity, enhancing interdependencies, and driving synergies across divisions. Collaborating closely with business partners, you will provide strategic guidance to improve efficiency and ensure alignment of divisional processes with sector objectives, while also offering business expertise and support for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the corporation’s applications, tools, and business systems. Your efforts will enable measurable returns on investment for each engagement, supporting the sector’s mission to meet its strategic goals effectively.
Please note this is a temporary position until January 2026.
What you’ll do:
Lead and oversee the end-to-end system enhancements intake and prioritization process, ensuring effective collaboration with HR stakeholders, HR Business Systems team, and IT partners.
Facilitate prioritization and alignment of enhancement requests with organizational goals, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of HR system improvements.
Act as a subject matter expert by promoting best practices in business process measurement, analysis, redesign, change and ongoing process management.
Build strong, customer-focused relationships with internal stakeholders through all stages of process improvement, engaging in cross-functional collaboration and networking.
Work with functions within the sector and Human Resources to identify, analyze, structure, prioritize, sequence and capture significant business process redesign and improvement opportunities. with the objective of materially improving business unit productivity levels as well as the customer and employee experience.
Work with functions within the Business Optimization sector and Human Resources, using the Lean Six Sigma methodology (e.g. DMAIC), to identify, analyze, structure, prioritize, sequence and capture significant business process redesign and improvement opportunities with the objective to advance operational capability, efficiency and client experience.
What you should have:
An undergraduate degree in a related field such as business administration or commerce, sciences, engineering or a combination of education and experience.
A minimum of five years of experience in business process improvements with increasing responsibilities.
Project management skills acquired through the management of small to medium-sized projects.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to interface and work with colleagues, showing tact and diplomacy at all times.
Excellent oral and written communication (including presentation) skills.
Demonstrated strong analytical skills (qualitative and quantitative) with the ability to reason logically and recognize assumptions.
It would be great if you also had:
Knowledge and experience with Lean Six Sigma process improvement methodologies (e.g. DMAIC).
A Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation.
An ADKAR certification in change management.
Bilingualism (English and French).
