The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences’ international reputation in education, innovation, and research in pharmacy and the pharmaceutical sciences attracts close to 1,000 undergraduate students each year, and we train more than 100 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Our suite of academic programs prepares students for a wide variety of careers in the pharmaceutical, nanomedicine, pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, pharmacy practice research, biotechnology, and related sectors. Research in the Faculty is designed for impact resulting in a wide spectrum of health support and improved outcomes of drug treatments. The Faculty’s expert researchers work at the leading edge of their fields, whether it be in pharmacy practice, foundational sciences, health systems or policy.

The Senior Director, Development and Alumni Engagement, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences will play a crucial role in shaping and leading the Faculty’s long-term strategy. Their main objective will be to successfully achieve fundraising priorities by raising between $5 million and $8 million annually. This will include assuming a leadership position in FORWARD, the campaign for UBC, and developing an engagement program for our expanding community of alumni.

Reporting jointly to, and partnering closely with the Dean of the Faculty and the Executive Director, Development, the Senior Director will cultivate relationships with academic and administrative leaders, and leverage and galvanize a dynamic group of faculty members.

The Senior Director will be responsible for leading the unit’s participation in the campaign by continuously incorporating key messaging into donor interactions, including the FORWARD for Students Affordability Initiative. This involves engaging with regional and global alumni, donors, prospects and volunteers, to raise awareness and financial support.

Compensation Range
$125,516 (Min.) – $156,756 – $188,107 (Max.) CAD Annually
The Compensation Range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range for a job.
