The Candidate and Role Summary
The Senior Development Manager position is based out of Vancouver.

The candidate will report to the VP of Development & Construction.
The Senior Development Manager will be active in the following primary responsibilities both in an individual and team setting:
Assist the Department Head by leading multiple projects in various stages of development from conception through to completion.
Manage a variety of third-party consultants, contractors and AHJ’s
Collaborate with internal Investments, Financing, Accounting Development, Sales and Marketing teams throughout the development cycle
Be financially savvy and manage budgets, track property models and forecast future spend as part of the monthly reporting process.
Manage all stakeholders & project teams to ensure Hungerford Properties’ best interests are represented during design development, value engineering and construction.
Work with Asset Management to ensure property models and asset reports are updated regularly and kept current (Quarterly updates mandatory).
Lead the preparation of Rezoning, Subdivision, Development and Building Permit applications with oversight from the Director of Development. Coordinate the preparation of legal documents required for each project including rights-of-way and/or easement agreements, Subdivision Plans, lot consolidation etc.
Collaborate in setting up internal project schedules and follow up according to deliverables/deadlines.
Solve design, coordination and technical problems and keep the Project Management Team updated on progress of action items.

Competencies, Qualifications and Required Experience
Relevant post-secondary education such as Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Building Science.
Preferably 10 years’ experience in real estate development and/or construction industry, (Indigenous development experience is considered an asset)
Exposure to different construction contract types (e.g. Fixed Price, CM & Design Build) is required.
The applicant must have strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and familiarity with internet-based research
Local travels as required for site meetings. Travel throughout BC will be required (Vancouver Island and Okanagan).

Our Compensation & Benefits Philosophy
Our compensation package includes a competitive base salary, bonus, and potential LTI program. The typical hiring range for this position is $150,000 – $180,000 per year. The actual offered salary may vary and will depend on individual experience, qualifications, and market conditions for the role. We are also pleased to offer the following benefits:
