Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and garment construction, with the ability to create, alter, and repair clothing to meet client specifications. This role requires precision, creativity, and excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction with tailored garments.
Responsibilities
Create custom garments from scratch based on client designs or specifications.
Experienced in pattern making and interpreting patterns
Perform alterations on various types of clothing, including dresses, suits, and casual wear
Repair damaged clothing by sewing tears, replacing zippers, and adjusting hems.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace with all necessary tools readily available.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding their preferences and provide professional advice on styles and fits.
Keep track of orders and ensure timely completion of tailoring tasks.
Experience
Proven experience as a Tailor or in a similar role within the fashion industry is preferred.
Proficiency in using sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and various tailoring tools.
Strong understanding of different fabrics and garment construction techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Good interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with clients and understand their needs.
Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
