Beck Glass Shield Inc. has an immediate opening for a Rope Access Technician.
Job Description:
• Perform rope access work on commercial and residential high-rise buildings using industry-standard climbing and safety
techniques.
• Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products while suspended on ropes.
• Install, inspect, and maintain rigging systems, anchor points, and fall arrest equipment.
• Maintain safety logs, work reports, and daily rigging plans as required by occupational health and safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all WorkSafeBC and company-specific safety protocols and procedures.
• Participate in daily hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and on-site safety briefings.
Wage: $40 to $65 per hour, depending on experience
• Hours per Week: 30 hours (full-time)
• Overtime: As per BC employment standards
• Vacation: 2 weeks per year
Job Requirements:
• Work is outdoors and physically demanding.
• Exposure to heights, weather conditions, and construction environments.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• PPE and rope access equipment must be worn at all times on site.
Education: Secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in rope access or high-rise exterior building maintenance
• Valid IRATA Level 1 certification (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
