The Birds & The Beets
About the company
The Birds & The Beets is a food-focused cafe and bakery in Vancouver, Canada. It opened in 2015 in the Gastown neighbourhood. The cafe’s owners wanted to create a space with a distinct coffee program, a locally sourced menu, and a unique design. The cafe is known for its relaxed atmosphere with exposed brick, reclaimed wood, and ample natural light. They also have an open-concept kitchen, allowing customers to see the food preparation process. The menu is designed around items sourced from the property’s cellar, including yogurts, pickled vegetables, and preserves.
