Resort Operations Assistant
Keltic Resort is a historic resort located in the heart of the magnificent Cape Breton Highlands National Park, proudly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Home to the #5 Golf Course in Canada and part of the Golf North family, we truly are a premier destination for hospitality, golf, and relaxation. Just 2 hours from Sydney, NS, and a 5-hour drive from Halifax, the resort has been welcoming guests to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia since July 1940.
We are looking for a highly organized individual to join our team as Resort Operations Assistant.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
• Manage the daily administrative workflow for resort leadership, including internal communications, scheduling, guest emails and booking traffic.
• Oversee guest and member databases, ensuring accuracy for seasonal mailings and resort correspondence.
• Coordinate monthly newsletters to our database, highlighting seasonal packages, golf tournaments, and special events.
• Monitor and draft professional responses for reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor, Google, and Expedia, approved by management.
• Coordinate with F&B, Golf, and Guest Services to ensure all upcoming events and promotions are accurately advertised.
• Provide administrative backing for Highlands Links memberships, including processing renewals and coordinating member-exclusive communications.
• Maintain a consistent posting schedule across Instagram and Facebook, capturing “on-the-ground” content that reflects the daily beauty of the Cabot Trail and the course.
• Compile stats on guest reviews, survey responses, booking traffic to share with resort management and marketing team.
• Assist in the preparation of weekly occupancy reports, golf course usage stats, and seasonal performance summaries.
• Complying with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and GolfNorth Health & Safety program.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in an administrative or office management role, preferably within the hospitality or tourism sector.
• Post-secondary diploma or certificate in business, admin or related field.
• Experience in Canva or similar is preferred.
• Experience with email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
• Exceptional writing skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and “on-the-move” around the property.
Language Requirements:
• Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required for all positions to ensure effective communication across the resort.
Number of Vacancies- 1
Term – Permanent, full-time. Expected start date is as soon as possible.
Hours of work- 30 to 40 hours per week. Schedule may include weekends, holidays, morning, afternoon and evenings. Overtime may be required.
Wage- $27 per hour
Work location- 383 Keltic in Rd, Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia
