In Norman Wells, professional purpose and personal adventure move in step, carrying you from mornings beneath the glow of the northern lights to summers illuminated by the midnight sun, all while making a lasting difference in the lives of children, youth, and families across the Sahtu.
We’re hiring a Regional Manager, Child & Family Services, in Norman Wells, where leadership begins with connection across the Sahtu.
As Regional Manager, your work extends across five remote communities situated within one of Canada’s most spectacular northern regions. Travel becomes part of adventure. You will soar above rugged mountain ranges, trace the winding path of the Mackenzie River from the air, and journey across winter roads carved over frozen rivers and lakes. Every trip deepens your connection to the land, the cultures, and the communities you serve.
Leadership here is built through presence and relationships. You won’t lead from a distance. You will visit communities, share conversations with Elders and leaders, and develop an understanding of the region that can only come from experiencing it firsthand. Each community visit offers a new perspective, each journey reveals another breathtaking view, and each relationship strengthens your ability to make a meaningful difference for children, youth, and families across the Sahtu.
Life in Norman Wells rewards those who seek adventure, connection, and a genuine sense of community. Spend weekends paddling pristine rivers, spotting moose, caribou, and Dall sheep in their natural habitat, or snowmobiling across sparkling winter landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see. Watch the sky come alive with vibrant ribbons of green and purple as the aurora dances overhead, creating memories that few Canadians ever have the opportunity to experience firsthand.
