Suncoast Seafood is seeking Quality Control Checkers for its seasonal lobster processing operation in Grande-Digue, New Brunswick.
The successful candidates will:
• Take samples of lobster products at various stages of processing.
• Examine raw and finished lobster products to ensure conformance with company standards.
• Conduct routine checks for product specifications, including appearance, temperature, weight, packaging, labelling, coding and product condition.
• Check finished products and packaging for defects, damage or non-conformance.
• Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices to ensure they follow company policies and applicable food safety procedures.
• Record quality check results and report deficiencies to supervisors or quality personnel.
• Support production staff by identifying product or process issues in a timely manner.
• Follow company procedures for food safety, personal hygiene, PPE and workplace safety.
Requirements
• Secondary school completion or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Experience in fish, seafood, food or beverage processing is an asset.
• Previous experience as a production worker, machine operator, grader, checker or similar role is an asset.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a cold, wet, noisy and fast-paced seafood processing environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail, reliability, teamwork and ability to follow instructions are required.
Hours: 30 to 60 hours per week

Schedule: Early morning, morning, day, evening, night, weekend, shift work and overtime required
