Ayoub’s Dried Fruits & Nuts is actively looking to hire 1 (one) Procurement and Purchasing Officer for a permanent, full-time position to work at our main location located at 110-9339 200A St, Langley, BC, V1M 3Y4, Canada.
Ayoub’s Dried Fruits & Nuts is a specialty food company offering premium dried fruits sourced from over 20 countries and freshly roasted nuts prepared daily in our stores. With six locations across the Vancouver area and a local bakery in Burnaby, we supply healthy, ready-to-eat snacks in unique flavours, as well as raw ingredients to restaurants, ice cream shops, and other businesses. Our clients include hotels, airlines, golf clubs, and offices, and we also provide corporate gifting options. Most products are sold in bulk (24 lbs), with an expanding line of resealable retail packaging.

Job Duties: The Procurement and Purchasing Officer shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job tasks:
• Evaluating supply chain risks, conducting market analysis, and preparing reports, forecasts, and recommendations for procurement strategies.
• Researching and recontributing to the financial aspects of sourcing, particularly in relation to contracts and trends where information is limited or sensitives.
• Identifying and acting on opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and reliability of supply.
• Leveraging the organization’s purchasing power to negotiate better terms, reduce lead times, and ensure continuous supply.
• Building and maintaining strong relationship with existing to support long- term procurement strategies.
• Handling customer service inquirers related to procurement, providing clarification, and sharing relevant information as needed.
• Procuring general and specialized equipment, materials, or business series as required by the organization.
• Assessing organizational needs and preparing clear, accurate specifications for goods and services
• Managing tender processes, conditions of contracts with suppliers reviewing quotations, and recommending or awarding contracts
• Negotiating terms and conditions of contracts with suppliers and ensuring compliance with company policies
• Coordinating delivery logistics, monitoring suppliers’ performance and resolving any procurement -related issues
• Managing logistics to ensure smooth important and customs clearance.
• Making purchasing decisions based on the company’s budgets and operational needs.
• Supervising, training, or supporting the purchasing staff, as necessary Skills, Experience and Education Required:
2 – 3 years’ work experience in Procurement and Purchasing
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce or economics or Equivalent

Wage & Hours: $37.00 per hour, 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week, 5 days a week
