The Opportunity
Howe Sound Taphouse & Kitchen – East Van serves award-winning ales and lagers fresh from the brewery. Our menu is full of house-made favourites & our chefs focus on freshness & unique flavours cooking with our beer, seasonal produce & local seafood. We are looking for an experienced, talented and passionate Prep Cook to provide our guests with a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for hospitality and service.
What You’ll Do:
· Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
· Receive products from distributors.
· Ensure kitchen line is set up in the morning.
· Report to the Executive Chef and follow instructions accordingly.
· Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
· Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
· Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked.
What You Have:
· 1+ years of experience in the same or a similar role.
· Enthusiastic and committed to guest satisfaction.
· Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Availability to work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
· Strong multitasking skills.
· Able to communicate in English.
· Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
Job Types: Full-time, permanent
Salary: $19.00/hour
