Nail Technician Full Time NEW
Kiki’s Beauty Bar is seeking an experienced Nail Technician to join our team in Whistler, British Columbia. The successful candidate will provide professional nail services while maintaining excellent customer service, sanitation and workplace safety standards.
Main Duties
The Nail Technician will:
Consult with clients regarding their nail-care needs and desired services. Cash out clients when service is done.
Keep appropriate timming with each service to keep up with daily scheduled clients and their scheduled times.
Perform manicures and pedicures, full sets extensions, builder gel manicures, Russian style manicures, extension fills and various nail art.
Prepare, clean, shape, file and buff natural nails.
Perform detailed cuticle work.
Safely remove gel polish and nail enhancements.
Assess the condition of clients’ nails and recommend appropriate nail-care services.
Provide clients with information regarding nail maintenance and aftercare.
Recommend appropriate professional nail-care products.
Clean and disinfect tools, equipment and work surfaces between clients.
Follow all infection-control, sanitation and health-and-safety procedures.
Properly dispose of single-use materials and salon waste.
Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workstation.
Maintain adequate supplies at the nail station and notify management when inventory needs replenishing.
Provide professional, friendly and personalized customer service.
Maintain appointment schedules and complete services efficiently and professionally.
Follow all Kiki’s Beauty Bar policies and procedures.
Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the salon.
Perform other related duties as required.
Employment Requirements
Previous experience and cirtified as a professional Nail Technician is required.
Completion of a nail technician program or related training is an asset.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent customer-service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and perform nail services for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Ability to safely handle professional nail products and equipment.
