Current Scientific Corporation is a marine technology manufacturer in Port Coquitlam, BC, seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor to oversee production of electro-optical systems. The position involves supervising manufacturing and assembly staff in a regulated ISO 9001 environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of manufacturing and assembly staff
– Establish work methods, assign tasks, and co-ordinate work activities with engineering, quality, supply chain, and warehouse departments
– Requisition materials, equipment, and supplies for production operations
– Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
– Train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
– Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions
– Prepare production and other reports
– Conduct quality control and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality systems
– Supervise staff or team (5-10 employees)
REQUIREMENTS
– Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
– Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or technical production
– Hands-on experience leading production or assembly teams
– Strong understanding of quality control, safety, and production workflows
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
– English language proficiency required for communication, safety, and coordination
