Machinist Full Time

About the Role

Machinists build high-precision metal parts using both manual and CNC machines. This is a skilled trade role with strong long-term career potential.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed blueprints and tolerances

• Set up, program, and operate manual or CNC machines

• Select cutting tools and calculate speeds and feeds

• Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy

• Troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes

• Maintain machines and tools in good working order

Qualifications & Requirements

• Completion of a machinist apprenticeship (429A) or equivalent experience

• Strong math and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work with tight tolerances

• Knowledge of machining principles and tooling

• Red Seal certification is an asset

Wage Range Estimate (Ontario)

• Low: $28.00 / hour

• Median: $36.00 / hour

• High: $45.00 / hour
