• A DRIVER WITH ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IS PAID $0.48 PER MILE PLUS UP TO $0.045 SAFETY BONUS PER MILE.
• DRIVES CAN EXPECT APPROXIMATELY 2,500 MILE PER WEEK

Responsibilities and Tasks
– Professionalism in customer service
– Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
– Load and unload goods
– Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
– Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
– Perform brake adjustments
– Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
– Receive and relay information to central dispatch
– Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Credentials/Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Defensive Driving Course, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Forklift Operator Certification, Professional Driver Improvement Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Documentation knowledge
Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Trip reports
