Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a commercial vehicle over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safe operation.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience in freight transportation or long-haul driving preferred.
Applicants are recommended to have minimum of 2 years long-haul highway experience including mountainous terrain and team driving.
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of automotive repair is advantageous.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading freight.

Job duties include:
-Hauling refrigerated fresh and frozen goods across Canada and the United States as part of a team.
-Closely monitoring the climate-controlled refrigeration units to ensure product is stored at appropriate temperatures.
-Responsible for daily completion of all required paper work such as freight bills, load sheets, log books, etc.
-Record logbooks via ELDs and use equipment navigational systems.
-Responsible for performing pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip equipment inspections. Including on the road preventative maintenance.
