Long-Haul Tractor-Trailer Driver Full Time
Sure Track Courier Ltd. is a company with over 30-year industry presence and established customer relationships. We are based at 20 Corrine Court in Concord, Ontario.
We are seeking Long-Haul Tractor-Trailer Drivers for full-time, permanent work to drive to various locations around Concord, the province of Ontario or across Canada. The position will pay $34.50 per hour.
Duties will include:
• Operating and driving a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials
• Performing pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage
• Ensuring cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods
• Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Driver log books maintained
• Administering bill of ladings, ensuring all paperwork is submitted to dispatch following the trip
• Using company supplied communication devices to communicate with dispatchers, drivers and customers and navigate the trip
• Being able to perform emergency roadside repairs, if necessary
Requirements:
• Valid AZ Licence
• Air Brake endorsement
• Long-Haul experience an asset
• Clean Criminal Record
• Clean driver abstract and CVOR
• Secondary School certificate at least.
