Landscape Labourer Full Time

Languages:
– English (grade 5 level)

On site:
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment:
– Outdoors

Duties:
– Assist in the installation of hardscape features including interlocking pavers, retaining walls, patios, walkways, and driveways
– Load, unload, and transport landscaping materials such as soil, mulch, gravel, stone, and plants
– Prepare job sites by clearing debris, removing existing landscaping materials, and leveling ground
– Dig trenches and holes for irrigation systems, posts, plants, and other installations
– Assist with planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and laying sod
– Spread topsoil, mulch, and other materials
– Operate basic landscaping tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, compactors, power tools, and small machinery (training provided if required)
– Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
– Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles
– Work as part of a team under the supervision of a Foreman or Supervisor

Work Conditions:
– Physically demanding; requires lifting up to 50 lbs or more
– Repetitive bending, lifting, crouching, and standing for extended periods
– Outdoor work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)

Employment Requirements:
– No formal education required
– This job is seasonal:
– 7 months to less than 1 year of work experience
– Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
– Reliable transportation may be required
