Hydraulic America has been supplying hydraulic parts, such as final drive motors and main pumps, to construction machinery brands, including Hyundai, Doosan, and Volvo in the domestic market, for over four decades. We also supply parts to international brands all around the globe. We are actively seeking an experienced and strategic Industrial Wholesale Manager to join our leadership team. This is a full time permanent position. The hourly wage is $45.84 per hour for 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee Operations: Manage day-to-day business activities, ensuring efficient and smooth processes across all departments.
• Supplier Management:
o Work with international hydraulic parts suppliers to maintain existing product lines.
o Expand the supplier base by contacting new suppliers that offer similar product lines to provide more purchase options.
o Explore the possibility of moving production of hydraulic parts to Canada in a cost-effective manner.
• Product Line Expansion:
o Research and introduce new hydraulic part products into the market, particularly for construction equipment.
o Manage the introduction of specific product lines such as skid steer final drive motors for Bobcat and Takeuchi, skid steer main pumps for all brands, and hydraulic attachments for excavators and skid steers.
• Business Strategy:
o Develop and execute strategies to mitigate the impact of external business factors such as increased taxes for non-Canadian origin products and higher tariffs for shipments from Canada to the US.
• Client Relations:
o Supervise and maintain relationships with B2B clients in Canada and the USA.
o Ensure the accurate shipment of products to clients by overseeing the logistics and verifying orders.
• Team Management:
o Hire and manage specialists to support the expansion of business operations and new product lines.
o Supervise the repair of hydraulic parts and ensure quality control standards are met.
• Monthly Reporting: Provide detailed performance reports to the company’s owner(s) on a monthly basis, outlining achievements, challenges, and key business metrics.
Position Requirements:
• Strong understanding of the hydraulic parts industry, especially related to construction equipment.
• Experience with managing international suppliers and overseeing global sourcing strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle complex operational challenges and external business factors.
• Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and clients.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience working in or with Canadian and US markets is an asset.
• Minimum 5 years experience in relevant position.
