Job Title: Indigenous Engagement Coordinator
Reporting To: Director, Indigenous Initiatives
Job Purpose: The Indigenous Engagement Coordinator will support the BC Parks Foundation’s engagement with BC First Nations by coordinating relationship-building opportunities and supporting the foundation in fulfilling agreements. This role ensures effective communication and partnership development between First Nations communities and both the BC Conservation Fund and Parks Bank (private land acquisition) programs.
Role Summary:
The Indigenous Engagement Coordinator will support the Director of Indigenous Initiatives in developing and maintaining relationships with BC First Nations while ensuring effective communication across the BC Conservation Fund and Parks Bank (private land acquisition) programs. This role will coordinate relationship-building opportunities through events, meetings, and other direct engagement activities. They will assist in the development and maintenance of agreements with First Nations, including grant and friendship agreements. Additionally, they will contribute to strategic planning, track Indigenous-led conservation initiatives, develop communications materials, and collaborate with BC Parks Foundation teams to support First Nations’ participation in and awareness of initiatives.
