Bear Hills Casino is looking for a Human Resources Officer. Please note the following information before submitting your application:
*This is not a remote or hybrid position, it is on site only – rural location*
Full-time (40 hours/week), permanent position
JOB DUTIES:
• Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, review of candidate inventories
• Administer staffing consultation and grievance procedures
• Advising staff on policies and procedures and changes to same, necessary training, eligibility for employee assistance and other benefits
• Supervise personnel clerks performing assistance with filing, typing, record-keeping for human resources matters
• Assist to prepare advertising and job postings, manage collecting and analyzing applications submitted, recruiting and hiring staff in conjunction with General Manager
• Assist with the employer’s attendance at job fairs, and with recruitment efforts from post-secondary colleges or universities, and other opportunities to attract new hires.
• Contact with job applicants to schedule interviews
• Work with General Manager to administer internal transfers, promotions, reprimands, termination procedures, etc.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Language: Ability to communicate effectively with employer and third parties in English
Experience and Skills:
Mandatory: At least 3 years experience working in settings involving personnel administration, training and supervising of staff, and/or recruitment tasks and assistance, Microsoft Office/Windows, ADP (automatic data processing), excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multitask, remain organized, working under pressure in fast-paced environment
Preferred: Experience in casino setting, experience with data analysis and human resources software
Other mandatory requirements: Clean criminal record check, valid driver’s license/own transportation to site, working mobile phone
