Housekeeping Manager (NOC 62021) Full Time

Whaler’s Guesthouse – Tofino Hostel is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. You will play a key role in maintaining the high cleanliness standards that our guests consistently appreciate. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, working hands-on with their team, and taking ownership of their department in a supportive, family-like environment.

Job duties and responsibilities:
• Select and purchase equipment and supplies
• Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff
• Plan and co-ordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews
• Establish operational procedures for the housekeeping team
• Hire and dismiss staff
• Supervise staff
• Co-ordinate inspection of assigned areas
• Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met
• Co-ordinate maintenance and repair services
• Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms

Wage: 24CAD per hour + 4% annual vacation entitlement
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 Hours per week)
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
