‘Chick-fil-A Eaton Centre’ (220 Yonge St, Toronto, ON M5B 2H1) seeks Hospitality Trainer (NOC 62020) to perform the following duties:
● Train Team Members on pathway and CFA approved procedures;
● Implement systems and procedures in the Front of House; cash management, scheduling, breaks, etc.;
● Trainers are responsible for supervising and evaluating new hires and re-training team members with proper procedures. Example: Front of House Team Member skills supervised, taught, and evaluated: Making Drinks, Order Taking, Bagging food, Customer Service, Conflict resolution, Hospitality;
● Ensure all procedures are being followed at all times by conducting audits; food safety audits, team member safety audits, JHSC meeting discussions;
● Re-train Team Members that require additional support in learning various tasks;
● Perform preliminary Supervisor responsibilities; counting tills, scheduling breaks etc.;
● Uphold Restaurant and CFA values to care for other Team Members and guests to cultivate a caring culture for all;
● Serve food and beverage in dining rooms;
● Serve guests with food and beverage as required by the business;
● Understand and employ food safety and quality standards;
● Have a service attitude to help the team and guests in genuine hospitality;
● Use CORE 4 Principle when serving guests;
● Use your personality to go above and beyond and providing genuine Hospitality;
● Follow all policies and procedures in regards to Customer Service and Hospitality;
● Take order, complete transactions, bag food, and serve with accuracy;
● Be willing to prepare food and serve with integrity;
● Maintain a clean and safe work environment;
● Be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs regularly;
● Commit to upholding Chick-fil-A Brand and follow the employee playbook;
● Other duties as assigned by Restaurant Leadership and Management;
● Perform additional job duties assigned by management to support business demands, including but not limited to wiping down tables, cleaning the dining room, greeting guests, line hosting;
● Be proactive in your shift by setting up the team for success (i.e. stocking, cleaning, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
• Completion of a college certificate or diploma program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline (business, finance, etc.);
• Minimum six (6) months of work experience in supervisory role in a food preparation establishment;
• Strong leadership skills and supervisory abilities;
• Demonstrate strong character and integrity beyond just the functional skill of a team member;
• Must have a growth mindset, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, & proactivity;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong people skills with a desire to serve team members;
• Strong commitment to superior customer service;
• Ability to manage team member behavioural and performance issues;
• Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility;
• Must be mature, patient, professional, and have a growth mindset at all times.
Permanent, Full time (35 hrs/wk) @ $18/hr – $20/hr. Schedule includes Monday to Saturday, as. well as some holidays. Benefits include dental insurance, medical insurance, disability insurance.
