Job Description

A private household in Pickering, Ontario is seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Support Worker to provide personal care and companionship to a client in the client’s residence. The successful candidate will assist with activities of daily living and help maintain the client’s comfort and well-being.

Job Duties
Provide care and companionship for the client during periods of incapacitation, convalescence, or family disruption.
Administer bedside and personal care to the client, including assistance with ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, dressing, and undressing.
Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding the client.
Perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications, and collecting specimens under the general direction of a home care agency supervisor or nurse, where applicable.
Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes, and making beds.
Employment Requirements
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
1 year to less than 2 years of related experience.
English.
Ability to work independently in a private household.
On-site work only. Remote work is not available.
