Description: The Home Child Care Provider will be providing care and supervision of two (2) minor children who are 3.5 years old and 6 months old respectively. Responsibilities include ensuring the physical and emotional safety of the children under care, with some gentle discipline using respectful methods when necessary. They will also tend to the children’s basic needs, including dressing the children, changing diapers, facilitating naptime, and preparing and feeding snacks and meals. The successful candidate will supervise the children’s play activities both outdoors and indoors, including structured reading and speaking exercises, music, singing, games, walks, classes, and pre-arranged outings. The Home Child Care Provider will be required to undertake light housekeeping duties as needed, including clean up after children’s activities, keeping the children’s play areas tidy, and clean up in the kitchen after meals.

Position requirements: Completion of secondary school and a minimum of two years related work experience as a Home Child Care Provider for young children in Canada or elsewhere is required. Must be able to communicate in English. Must be willing to undergo a Criminal Record check. Must be able to lift weight up to 50lbs. Must be a Canadian citizen or legally permitted to work in Canada. Strong references will be required.
