TRYumph Gymnastics Academy is seeking a Competitive Gymnastics Coach to train and develop athletes within the club’s pre-competitive and competitive programs.
The coach will deliver technical instruction in artistic gymnastics, focusing on skill progression, athlete development, and strength and conditioning specific to gymnastics. The role includes preparing athletes for competitions and supporting their progression within the competitive program.
• Plan, develop, and implement structured gymnastics training programs for recreational, pre-competitive, and competitive athletes
• Provide technical instruction on gymnastics apparatus, including vault, bars, beam, and floor
• Teach and safely spot gymnastics skills and progressions appropriate to athlete level
• Evaluate athlete performance and provide technical corrections and feedback
• Develop conditioning programs focused on strength, flexibility, coordination, and injury prevention
• Prepare athletes for competitions and events, including routine development and performance readiness
• Monitor athlete progress and adjust training programs to support development and advancement
• Conduct athlete assessments and assist with placement into appropriate training groups
• Ensure safe use of equipment and enforce safety procedures and athlete protection standards
• Assist with competitions, camps, and training events organized by the club
• Support recreational and developmental programs as needed
• Identify athletes with potential for advancement into competitive pathways
• Communicate with athletes, parents, and team members regarding progress and expectations
• Maintain records of athlete attendance, progress, and performance
• Participate in coaching workshops and ongoing professional development

Skill Requirements:
• Level 2 Coaching Certification (NCCP) or equivalent recognized gymnastics coaching credentials
• Completion of secondary school is required; post-secondary education in kinesiology, physical education, or a related field is an asset
• Minimum 2 years of experience coaching gymnastics or a related sport in a structured training environment
• Experience working with competitive gymnastics athletes is an asset
• Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques, skill progressions, apparatus training, and safe spotting practices
• Ability to analyze athlete performance and provide technical corrections to support skill development
• Experience planning and delivering structured training programs for athletes at various skill levels
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with athletes, parents, and team members
• Ability to collaborate with coaching staff in a team-based training environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
