Grocery Clerk Supervisor Full Time

POSITION: Grocery Clerk Supervisor, Full-Time, Permanent

JOB DUTIES:
• Make sure the customers are being taken care of and the store looks great at all times. Surprise and delight the customers with consistent, delightful service;
• Oversee customer orders, purchases, and payments;
• Oversee the stocking and replacement of products to avoid any damage;
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked with fresh products;
• Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labeled;
• Order out-of-stock products;
• Help train Grocery Clerks and other staff in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover;
• Assist in training of new staff;
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices;
• Respond promptly to customer needs and questions and request management assistance when necessary;
• Open and close store according to established procedures;
• Oversee staff and resolve difficult customer situations;
• Determine break schedule and insure all necessary breaks are given;
• Communicate team concerns to the Store Manager.
• Operate and sanitize all store areas in a safe and proper manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• One year experience as international grocery store clerk;
• Familiarity with West Indian, Latino and Asian food;
• College or University Diploma in Business, Commerce, Management or similar

SALARY
• $21.37/hr – full time
