We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Office Administrator / Human Resources Assistant to support our growing business.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, enjoys helping others, and is comfortable working in an office that supports the blue-collar industry. The successful candidate will assist with front office activities, administrative work, payroll support, and basic HR tasks.

Main Duties
– Coordinate early morning worker dispatch (starting at 5:00am) for a specialized staffing agency.
– Perform data entry for worker records, payroll hours, and sensitive Social Insurance Numbers
– Manage office security and solo-opening procedures during early morning hours
– Greet a diverse workforce and visitors in a high-traffic urban setting
– Assist Spanish-speaking workers with safety orientations and site assignments.
– Follow strict “Working Alone” safety protocols and company check-in procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Languages: Professional fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory
Availability: Must be able to work early morning shifts (5:00am) and occasional Saturdays
Solo Work & safety: Comfortable opening the office alone in the Main Street/DTES corridor and maintaining situational awareness in a challenging urban environment.
– Security & Trust: Must pass a criminal record check (required for handling cash & sensitive employee data)
Communication: Strong de-escalation skills and a trauma-informed approach are essential.
Wages: $25/hr
Schedule: Full-time. Tuesday – Saturday (5:00am – 6:00pm) availability required and occasional Mondays
