Forest Products Processing Supervisor/Mgr Full Time NEW

The Forest Products Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling production efficiency while supervising and coordinating the activities of workers & ensure a production flow in a lumber manufacturing plant. They also manage training, quality control, and report generation. Additional tasks include:
– Recommend measures to improve productivity
– Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
– Ensure that systems and equipment are operating efficiently and that proper maintenance and repairs are performed
– Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
– Establish work schedules
– Prepare production and other reports
– Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
– Set up machines and equipment
– Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
– Monitor safety conditions
– Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
– Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
– Oversee safety of operations
– Supervision of 11-15 people including lumber graders and other wood processing machine operators
Credentials
– Lumber Grader Certificate (preferred)
– Industrial First Aid Certificate (preferred0
