We offer everything from marketing strategy and consulting, WeChat marketing, content creation, marketing analysis, short video creation, influencer marketing and so much more. We are always looking to go above and beyond and utilize the latest tools to formulate the perfect marketing strategy.
Currently, we are recruiting an Editor role to join our creative team. He or she is going to edit long- and short-form content for various mediums, such as websites, social media platforms and newsletters. The ideal candidate has a strong background in content creation, editing, and proofreading, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality content. As an Editor, you will work closely with marketing, writing and graphic design teams to ensure the expectations of a project are being met in terms of message, tone, accuracy and quality.
Main Duties:
1.Plan and review editorial advertorials, articles and layout for accuracy and appropriateness, edit and polish existing content to improve readability.
2.Adjust the allocation of space or posting format of text or stories in line with their perceived significance and improve the appeal of titles and headlines.
3.Maintain consistency in language, style, and tone across all content to ensure it aligns with the client’s needs and brand identity.
4.Proofread text for errors in spelling, grammar, syntax and punctuation to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the content before publishing.
5.Verify facts and determine if a manuscript or article is ready for publication, then approve final versions.
6.Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure that all sources are cited correctly and that the bibliography or reference list is complete and accurate.
7.Ensure timelines are managed effectively and consistently with all given projects and editing workflows.
8.Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as design, social media, and SEO, to select compelling visuals for the content and decide on publication layout, ensuring the editing strategies are supporting the communication of messages to the target audience.
9.Collaborate with writers and content creators to provide feedback and guidance to ensure content meets the company’s guidelines and standards.
10.Keep close attention to upcoming events or projects, and assign work to contributors with comprehensive guidelines.
Requirements:
1.Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related specialization is required.
2.Over three years of prior experience in a journalism or editorial role is required.
3.Excellent writing and proofreading skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese are required.
4.A portfolio of previous written/edited content pieces is required for the interview.
5.Social-media-savvy with a sound understanding of the audience preferences.
6.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and stay on deadline.
7.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, or similar software.
8.Ability to communicate effectively with cooperative departments and work collaboratively in a team environment.
