Brand Specialist (6-Month Contract) Full Time Permanent

WHAT’S THE JOB?

The Brand Specialist will play a key role in supporting corporate brand initiatives and food program strategies within the Remote and Hospitality Division. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, Culinary & Sustainability, this role focuses on upholding brand standards, ensuring operational excellence, and driving innovative marketing solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and has strong marketing experience, exceptional organizational and time management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain overall branding strategy and visual identity for business development, new openings, and existing site refreshes.
• Create and manage the 2025 image library for use across various marketing and operational applications.
• Provide branding and marketing support for both new and existing business units, as needed.
• Update and maintain the MicroMarket design package.
• Support new brand installations, including site reviews, measurements, quotes, planning, and approval coordination.
• Develop marketing and merchandising strategies using current trends; adapt strategies to suit business needs.
• Build the merchandising section of the operational marketing guide, including:
  • Written content, imagery, and video assets
  • Training presentations and supporting video content
• Create merchandising guidelines for all stations, including seasonal updates.
• Research, recommend, and source smallwares, equipment, and display fixtures for food service areas.
• Coach and support food service managers and their teams in implementing effective branding and food display practices aligned with corporate standards.
• Provide operational support as needed, including training, guideline development, and location-specific action plans.
• Deliver training and coaching for the Engagement team to support consistency and excellence in brand execution.

Working Conditions:

• Approximately 50% of the time will be spent in food service environments or at Dexterra offices; the remaining 50% will be remote.
• National travel across Canada is required.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• A diploma or equivalent job-related experience in marketing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing or merchandising related role, ideally within the foodservice industry.
• Previous experience in foodservice environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to travel across Canada as required.
