We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Cook to join our growing restaurant team in Halifax. The ideal candidate will be a culinary professional with an outstanding work ethic, capable of delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
• Oversee kitchen operations and maintain clean work areas.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor/order supplies.
• May assist in hiring and training kitchen staff.
Employment Requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 2 to 3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
