Cook Full Time

The Barkada Grill family is seeking one (1) Cook to join our expanding team at our Red Deer Central location. Barkada Grill is a full function fusion restaurant featuring an authentic Filipino menu mixed with Canadian food items. We offer catering services, special events, and do Sunday buffet. We are a dine-in and take out restaurant. This position is a full-time permanent position in the English language.

Job duties include:
-Prepare and cook complete meals from a restaurant menu
-Prepare and cook meals with variations depending on customer needs
-Oversee kitchen operations
-Setup and oversee the weekly breakfast buffets
-Assist with planning menus and determining food requirements and cost
-Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
-Clean and maintain cooking surfaces and cooking tools
-Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers where required

Education:
-Secondary high school diploma. Post-secondary education in cooking or culinary is an asset.

Experience:
-2 to 3 years direct experience
-Experience in Filipino cuisine is an asset

Salary: $18.00 per hour for 30-40 hours per week
