Yip Hong’s Dim Sum Restaurant is currently seeking two Full Time cooks to join our team in Saskatoon. The cooks will prepare foods and dishes to serve different customers.
The main duties for these positions are as follows:
Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays;
Prepare, cook, garnish, and present foods all types, either on a regular basis;
Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services;
Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients;
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards;
Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation;
Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
Requirements:
Education: Related Cuisine Diploma
Experience: 6 months experience required
Language: English ability to work and Chinese is an asset
Skills:
A cuisine class training certificate is an asset;
Proven working experience as a cook in hospitality industry;
Extensive food prepare knowledge;
Proficiency communication skills;
A confident and mature approach.
