About this role
We are recruiting a Continuous Improvement Technician to join our Prefab team in Burnaby. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in process engineering by applying Lean principles to enhance workflows and drive efficiency. You’ll play a key role in improving safety, quality, and efficiency in our prefab operations.

Your responsibilities
• Observe production activities and document current-state workflows, time studies, and labour data
• Maintain organized process documentation and assist with improvement initiatives
• Create and update process maps and value stream maps
• Identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities using Lean concepts
• Support the rollout of standard work, visual management, and 5S practices
• Participate in Kaizen events and help track improvement metrics such as cycle time and productivity
• Document new workflows for SOPs and training materials
• Contribute data-driven insights for process enhancements and future capital investments
• Support broader prefab and continuous improvement initiatives over time

Your experience and skills
• Degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• completion of at least one co-op term or internship in a construction, manufacturing, or prefabrication environment
• Familiarity with process improvement concepts such as Lean, Value Stream Mapping, or workflow optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in team environments
• Basic knowledge of process mapping tools and familiarity with manufacturing or prefab shop environments an asset
• Open to change and committed to continuous learning
• Experience using computer software: MS Office

Salary range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered. Let’s chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
