SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Operations, you will lead the delivery of multiple heavy civil construction projects—with a focus on MTO work, large-scale earthworks, and self-perform execution.
You will be accountable for end-to-end project delivery, contract administration, field execution, and commercial performance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Delivery & Contract Administration
Lead multiple MTO and heavy civil projects from planning to closeout
Own contract administration (RFIs, change orders, claims mitigation, cost control)
Manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, and risk
Interpret drawings, specs, and contracts to ensure compliant, efficient delivery
Self-Perform & Earthworks Execution
Drive self-perform construction, partnering closely with field teams
Lead earthworks operations (grading, excavation, haul optimization)
Maintain alignment between project plans and site execution
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead and develop Project Coordinators and junior team members
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners
Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment where diverse perspectives are valued
Safety & Compliance
Champion a safety-first culture
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Maintain quality standards and drive continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years in heavy civil project management, with MTO experience strongly preferred
Proven experience in earthworks and self-perform construction
Strong contract administration and commercial acumen
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration
