Position Overview
Buildtech Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction General Manager to lead and oversee all construction operations, business development, and strategic planning initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving company growth and ensuring operational excellence across all projects.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
– Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate overall construction operations and company performance
– Develop and implement strategic plans, business objectives, and operational policies
– Oversee multiple construction and development projects from planning to completion
– Lead and manage senior staff, including project managers, engineers, and site supervisors
– Review and approve project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations
– Direct business development activities, including identifying new markets and securing contracts
– Establish and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities
– Monitor financial performance, including cost control, budgeting, and profitability analysis
– Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
– Represent the company in negotiations, stakeholder meetings, and industry engagements
Job Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field .
– Diploma in Architecture or related discipline is considered a strong asset
– Minimum 5–7 years of senior management experience in construction, development, or related industry
– Experience in overseeing construction businesses, development projects, or operating a construction company is strongly preferred
– Proven experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., Managing Director, General Manager, or Business Owner)
– Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management, and development processes
– Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
– Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
– Ability to develop business strategies and drive organizational growth
