Concrete Finisher (Swimming Pool Installation) Full Time

About the role
South Coast Pools installs and finishes swimming pools and surrounding structures. serving
Southern Ontario with quality workmanship and fantastic customer service second to none.
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to prepare, place, finish, and cure concrete for
pool shells, decks, patios, and related surfaces.
Main duties
• Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement, and direct the placement of
concrete into forms or onto surfaces to grade
• Fill hollows, remove high spots, and level and smooth freshly poured concrete for pool
shells, decks, and patios
• Impart the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools (floats, trowels,
power trowels, screeds)
• Apply curing, hardening, and sealing compounds
• Waterproof, damp-proof, and restore concrete surfaces
• Install anchor bolts, plates, and fixtures in freshly poured concrete
• Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged concrete sections
• Provide winterization services, spring start-ups, equipment repairs, and ongoing
maintenance for existing customer pools
• Apply concrete finishing skills to indoor projects, commercial work, stamped concrete,
garage floors, or other year-round construction contracts secured by the company
• Maintain and repair company tools, equipment, vehicles, and facilities; organize
inventory and prepare materials for the next construction season
• Participate in safety training, skill development, shop organization, and support.
Requirements

• Completion of secondary school (an asset, not required)
• One to two years of experience in concrete finishing;
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather
• Reliable and able to work as part of a crew
