CNC Machine Operators run computer-controlled machines that cut, drill, and shape metal parts. You will work from blueprints and digital programs to produce precise components used in automotive, construction, mining, and industrial equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or multi-axis machines
Load raw materials and secure parts in fixtures
Monitor machine cycles and adjust offsets as needed
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Identify defects and report issues to supervisors
Maintain clean work areas and follow safety procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read basic blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
Experience with CNC machines is an asset; training may be provided
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg
