About the Role
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and experienced Nanny/Childcare Provider to support our family by providing full-time care for our children in our home. The role involves caring for infants and young children, supporting their daily routines and development, and assisting with light household duties. This is an on-site position with no remote work option.
Key Responsibilities
Child Care & Daily Routine
Supervise and care for infants and children at all times
Change diapers and follow parents’ lead with toilet training
Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
Prepare formulas and sterilize bottles
Prepare infants and children for rest and nap periods
Development & Behaviour
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
Organize age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, and outings
Tend to the emotional well-being of the children
Discipline children according to methods requested by the parents
Household Support
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the children
Shop for food and household supplies as needed
Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment in the home
Record Keeping & Travel
Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the children
Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Secondary (high school) graduation certificate or equivalent experience
3 to less than 5 years of recent experience caring for infants and/or young children
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate is an asset (preferred)
Certifications, Checks & Requirements
Child Abuse Registry check
Criminal record check
References required
Valid driver’s licence
Own transportation and reliable vehicle
Willing and able to travel with the family when required
Work Environment & Conditions
Work is performed in the employer’s home in a rural area
Non-smoking, scent-free environment
Role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the day
