Interviewers play a key role in census operations, with the primary responsibility of collecting completed census questionnaires from respondents in person through door-to-door visits.
Census information can be used to plan programs and services that support employment, education, public transportation, and healthcare. There are approximately 32,000 census jobs available across Canada. The contract period for census jobs is May – July 2026, depending on the position and location.
