Job Responsibilities
Operational Management
• Plan, organize, and oversee daily café operations across multiple locations.
• Monitor revenues, labor costs, inventory levels, and operational expenses.
• Develop and manage budgets for food, beverage, and supply costs.
• Adjust menu pricing and preparation methods based on cost analysis.
• Ensure compliance with provincial health and safety regulations.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and waste.
Sales & Business Development
• Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to increase revenue.
• Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and community engagement activities.
• Negotiate with clients for catering services and facility use.
• Identify opportunities to improve product offerings and customer experience.
• Coordinate booth setup, product displays, sales, and sampling activities at farmers’ markets and trade events.
Staff Supervision
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff (5–10 employees).
• Prepare work schedules and assign duties.
• Provide ongoing coaching to support performance and service quality.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
Customer Service and Client Relations
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure high standards of service and product quality.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Administrative and Financial Duties
• Balance cash, complete daily reports, and reconcile accounts.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and negotiate with vendors.
• Support event coordination and promotional activities.

Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Restaurant/Food Services Management, Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in café, restaurant, or retail management.
• Experience in food and beverage operations, business administration, or sales.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency with accounting software, POS systems, and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to prepare spreadsheets, reports, and operational documentation.
Certifications
• Food Service Manager Certification / WHMIS / Safe Food Handling / Food Safety Certificate.
