Cabinetmaker Apprentice Full Time NEW

The Cabinetmaker Assistant/Apprentice is responsible to assist the Cabinetmaker in crafting and
assembling of cabinets and other architectural millwork to detailed specifications. He/she will
assist to produce quality millwork to specification The Cabinetmaker Assistant/Apprentice will be
responsible for knowing and practicing safe working methods and will learn to develop a strong
knowledge of shop practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, quality control, and safety
equipment. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy work area and
assisting other team members. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Requirements
 Highschool Graduate
 Enrollment in an approved Apprenticeship Program
 Knowledge of carpentry, cabinetmaking an asset.
 Post Secondary Education
 CNC Programming Experience
 Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools.
 Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
 Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset.
 Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
 Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
 Time management skills.
 Mathematical skills and analytical skills
 Ability to work in a team environment with supervision.
