Job Description
– Read and analyze sketches and blueprints to determine materials needed and construction layout.
– Calculate the quantity of bricks, mortar, and other materials required for each project.
– Prepare job site by setting up scaffolding, mixing mortar, and organizing tools and materials.
– Cut, trim, and shape bricks and concrete blocks to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
– Construct walls, foundations, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and structural tiles in residential, industrial, and commercial settings.
– Lay bricks and other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys, fireplaces, and other architectural elements.
– Install firebricks to line industrial chimneys, smokestacks, furnaces, kilns, and boilers.
– Provide veneer facing to walls and other surfaces using bricks, stone, and similar materials.
– Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
– Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations.
– Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures.
– Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and regulations.
– Communicate with clients, contractors, and other team members to ensure successful completion of projects.
– Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
Work site environment: Outdoors, Indoor, Underground, Elevated heights, confined spaces, cold spaces.
Work setting: Various locations
Experience and Specialization
– Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Drywall Taping
– Trowel use
– Sand blasting
– Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools
– Experience with power and hands tools such as saws and drills, trowels, jointers, hammers, chisels, squares, gauge lines, mallets, brushes, and masons levels.

Physical Capabilities : Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Weight handling up to 45 kg (100 lbs), Reliability
