Job Description:
• Evaluate damage reports and repair cost estimates to plan the required tasks.
• Detach damaged fenders, panels, and grilles using wrenches and cutting torches, then secure replacement parts by bolting or welding.
• Fix and replace front-end parts, body sections, doors, frames, and underbody parts.
• Operate soldering tools or apply plastic filler to mend holes, dents, and seams, using blocks and hammers to remove dents, buckles, and other imperfections.
• Smooth out repaired body surfaces by filing, grinding, and sanding with hand and power tools.
• Use frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to straighten bent frames.
• Prepare auto body surfaces for painting by masking and taping them, applying primers, and repainting surfaces using brushes or spray guns to paint, blend, and match colors as necessary.
• Fix or replace interior parts, including seat frames, carpets, and floorboard insulation.
• Inspect repaired vehicles and perform test drives to ensure proper handling.
Job Requirements
– Completion of secondary school
– 3 + years of experience in cutting welding and filler repair
